Sofia, July 14 (BTA) - Bulgarian head of State Rumen Radev
received at his office newly elected President of Confindustria
Bulgaria Roberto Santorelli, Radev's press office reported on
Wednesday. During the meeting, the Bulgarian President expressed
 support for businesses that create high added value, increase
the quality of the investment environment, and provide new
opportunities for young and educated people in Bulgaria.

Confindustria Bulgaria was established in 2000 as the Committee
of Italian Entrepreneurs in Bulgaria to promote economic
relations between Bulgaria and Italy by representing Italian
enterprises in Bulgaria and supporting the activity of its
members.

Confindustria Bulgaria is comprised of 10.5 per cent large, 15.5
 per cent medium and 75 per cent small-sized companies, and it
reports entrepreneurial activity, which amounts to a total of 2
billion leva in direct investments, sales worth 1.75 billion
leva, and over 10,000 jobs.

Wednesday's meeting discussed options to increase Bulgaria's
share on the Italian market, and the development of bilateral
economic relations.

The Bulgarian head of State commended the contribution of
Italian business to Bulgaria's investments and real economy, and
 the progressive relations it has with the State and the public.

President Radev said that it is important to convince the
Italian public and business that Bulgaria is an attractive
investment destination, and a reliable business partner in the
long run.

Roberto Santorelli praised the prospects for the economic
environment in Bulgaria, which has favorable macroeconomic
indicators, encourages foreign investment, entrepreneurial
initiatives and transnational partnerships. He identified
Bulgaria as one of Italy's largest trading partners. The meeting
 also discussed the growth of Italian investment in Bulgaria,
despite the effects of the pandemic.
