site.btaHousehold Deposits Reach Lv 63.904 Bln by July 31, 2021

August 24 (BTA) - Deposits of the non-government sector
amounted to 98.222 billion leva (76.5 per cent of GDP) at the
end of July 2021, increasing by 11.8 per cent, year on year, the
 Bulgarian National Bank reported on Tuesday.

Deposits of non-financial corporations totalled 30.601 billion
leva (23.8 per cent of GDP) at the end of July 2021, up by 15.2
per cent from July 2020. Deposits of financial corporations
decreased by 2.5 per cent in July 2021 from July 2020 and
reached 3.717 billion leva (2.9 per cent of GDP) at the end of
the month.

Deposits of households and non-profit institutions serving
households added up to 63.904 billion leva (49.8 per cent of
GDP) at the end of July 2021, 11.2 per cent more than in July
2020.

At the end of July 2021, claims on loans to the non-government
sector amounted to 68.065 billion leva (53 per cent of GDP), up
by 7.2 per cent, year on year.

In July 2021, loans to non-financial corporations increased by
4.6 per cent, year on year, and amounted to 35.938 billion leva
(28 per cent of GDP) at the end of the month.

Loans to households and non-profit institutions serving
households reached 27.438 billion leva (21.4 per cent of GDP) at
 the end of July 2021. They increased by 10.8 per cent compared
to the same month of 2020.

At 13.125 billion leva by the end of July 2021, loans for house
purchases were by 15.1 per cent more than in July 2020. Consumer
 loans amounted to 12.746 billion leva and, compared to July
2020, they rose by 9.3 per cent.

In July 2021, loans to employers and self-employed persons
decreased by 1.2 per cent, year on year, reaching 389.2 million
leva.

Loans granted to financial corporations were 4.689 billion leva
at the end of July 2021 (3.7 per cent of GDP). Compared to July
