UNESCO Assistant  Director General Eric Falt Pays Visit to Bulgaria

Bourgas, on the Black Sea, October 1 (BTA) - UNESCO encourages
the safeguarding of cultural heritage across the world and
Nessebur is a bright example of this, said UNESCO Assistant
Director-General for External Relations and Public Information
Eric Falt in the coastal town of Nessebur. He arrived there
along with Chief of Section for NGOs, Ms. Sabina Colombo. The
two visited the Ancient Nessebur Museum. Falt noted that the
museum maintains a level which allows for the better
 understanding of the town's past.

Falt and Colombo also visited ancient churches that are part of
the Spiritual Path tourist route. The two are in Bulgaria to
take part in an international forum about the role of youth in
protecting tangible and non-tangible cultural heritage, held
 under UNESCO's auspices.
