PM Bliznashki: People Must Vote Because
Heavy Reforms Ahead Require
Strong Government

Sofia, October 5 (BTA) - Casting his vote at Sunday's early
parliamentary elections, caretaker Prime Minister Georgi
Bliznashki urged people to vote, arguing that the looming heavy
reforms require a strong political government which can be
formed only on the basis of "a legitimate election outcome".
"The way the Bulgarian people vote on Sunday will have important
consequences," he said, voicing a hope that "the October 5
election day will prove a perfect day for Bulgaria's democracy".

Bliznashki recalled that in all his statements since he was
appointed caretaker prime minister in early August, he clearly
stated that Bulgaria can no longer be governed by caretaker or
expert cabinets and instead needs a strong political government.
"I do not what the formula of the new government will be, it
depends on the results of the election," Bliznashki said.

The Prime Minister also said that the election campaign was
conducted normally, without any grave outbursts, characteristic
of previous campaigns. The parties tried to expound their
arguments in a relatively correct election battle, he said. LY
