Urges People to Go To
Polls
Sofia, October 5 (BTA) - President Rosen Plevneliev urged the
Bulgarian citizens to go and cast their vote at Sunday's snap
parliamentary elections, and called on politicians for a
responsible and constructive approach in tackling, and not
aggravating, the country's problems. The head of State spoke to
reporters after casting his vote in Sofia.
"My appeal to the Bulgarians today is to go to the polls as the
elections will determine Bulgaria's future for many years
ahead," he said, stressing that the means to living in a
democratic, European and prospering Bulgaria is for everyone to
go and vote.
Plevneliev said he will work hard and with dedication "so as not
to lose a single hour or day because Bulgaria needs a working
Parliament and government". "The keywords are stronger stability
and reforms," he said. Among the pressing reforms the President
listed the pension system, education, healthcare, energy,
administration, the security sector, electronic government, and
the referendums bill. LY /ZH/
