Sofia, October 5 (BTA) - Radan Kanev, leader of the Democrats
for Strong Bulgaria, which is part of the Reformist Bloc
coalition, said "the Bulgarians obviously voted for a coalition,
firmly against single-party rule" in Sunday's early
parliamentary elections.

He added that a two-party government would be fully possible
after the results of voting abroad became known. He expects that
Bulgarians abroad voted for three parties: GERB, the Reformist
Bloc and the Movement for Rights and Freedoms.

Answering a question, Kanev said GERB leader Boyko Borissov
alone failed to realize that there would be a centre-right
coalition. Asked on what condition the Reformist Bloc would
coalesce with GERB without Borissov as prime minister, Kanev
said he did not see a mandate for Borissov to head the
government. "Still, it is all a matter of talks," he added.

Commenting on the election results, Kanev said the Reformist
Bloc won twice as many votes as predicted. "We won great support
for our programme, we have no right to betray it," he said.
GERB fell a long way short of its ambitions, and the Bulgarian
Socialist Party may not be the second largest parliamentary
force, Kanev also said.
