Close to 4,600 Bulgarian Teachers
Join eTwinning
Platform for Educators

Sofia, November 21 (BTA) - A total of 4,572 Bulgarian teachers
have joined eTwinning, a free European platform for teachers to
connect, develop collaborative projects and share ideas, said
the Human Resources Development Centre (HRDC) Friday. The Centre
is holding November 21 through 23 in the northern town of
Veliko Turnovo its first national workshop on career development
through eTwinning.

eTwinning is available in the Bulgarian language, which means
that virtually any Bulgarian teacher can communicate with
colleagues across Europe and share experiences, ideas and
projects. The platform was created in 2005 by the European
Commission to encourage teachers develop their computer and
language skills.

The veliko Turnovo workshop is meant for school and kindergarten
teachers, for principals, librarians and university professors,
who will have a chance to discuss education methods and
practices to help them face the challenges in education in the
21st century. SN/LN/
