Sofia, December 13 (BTA) - In November, the unemployment rate
was 10.8 per cent, up 0.1 percentage points from October, the
Employment Agency reported on Saturday. Year-on-year, there was
a drop of 0.7 percentage points.

There were 47,600 fewer jobless from the beginning of 2014. The
comparable figure for November 2013 was 15,000.

There were 353,604 jobless registered with labour offices, up by
2,159 from October. There were 22,957 fewer jobless compared
with November 2013.

Registered jobless under 24 numbered 26,080, 338 down from
October and 8,504 down from November 2013.

Latest Eurostat data suggest that in October 2014 the youth
unemployment (under 24) was 21.5 per cent compared with an EU
average 21.6 per cent. It dropped 0.5 percentage points on a
monthly basis and 5.9 percentage points on an annual basis.

The jobless under the age of 29 (including under 24" were
60,379, 144 people down from October 2014 and 13,035 down from
November 2013.

The number of jobless over 50 years of age continued to increase
by 653 to 135,398 people. Compared with November 2013, it went
down by 1,861 people.

In November 2014, newly-registered jobless were 33,942, down by
11,276 from the previous months. On an annual basis their number
decreased by 7,474.

In November, 17,024 unemployed persons found work. LN/PP
