Outgoing ABV Leader Purvanov Deems Forms for Interaction inside Coalition Non-working

Sofia, April 1 (BTA) - Outgoing ABV leader and former president
(2002-2012) Georgi Purvanov believes that the forms for
interaction inside the ruling coalition do not work. He told
journalists on Wednesday that ABV is still waiting for the
Finance Minister to answer the questions asked a few days ago
about a new debt of 16 billion leva.

After testifying in a court case against the former intelligence
head Kircho Kirov, Purvanov said that Labour and Social Policy
Minister Ivaylo Kalfin's work is more than
excellent because of the scale of the work on the pension
reform, which no other government has achieved. "This reform is
about a balanced and working reform and about having more money
for pensioners," he explained.

According to him, the true check on how strong the coalition is
will be conducted when the pension reform is put to the vote in
Parliament.

Purvanov said that ABV has been highly assessed for its work on
the bill to revise the Judiciary Act.

He believes that ABV has shown a reformist face, while others
boasting such titles are preoccipied with personnel
appointments.

Commenting an upcoming meeting with GERB, Purvanov said that ABV
will raise questions in the fields of energy, foreign policy
and others.

"Our attitude towards the Cabinet can not be placed in the
context of what we are doing in the local elections," he
commented.

He expects that if ABV leaves the coalition, Kalfin will leave
the Government.

Speaking to reporters in the corridors of Parliament, Kalfin
said that he is ready to obey a political decision by his party
on further participation in the government - when one is made.
"I work well in the government. I believe I do well my job but I
am a representative of ABV and when a political decision is
made, I will comply."
