Bulgaria Welcomes Framework Agreement on Iran's Nuclear Programme

Sofia, April 3 (BTA) - The Bulgarian Foreign Ministry on Friday
welcomed the framework agreement on the key parameters for a
Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action Regarding Iran's Nuclear
Programme.

The deal was concluded in Lausanne, Switzerland, on Thursday by
the top diplomats of China, France, Germany, the United States,
Britain, Russia and Iran. It was described by the Bulgarian
Foreign Ministry as "a decisive breakthrough in the negotiation
process resulting from the unprecedented and consistent efforts
of all parties concerned, including the team of the European
External Action Service."

"We have always maintained that a solution to the Iranian
nuclear issue should be sought by diplomatic means," the
Ministry said. It noted that despite existing challenges, there
is now a real possibility to reach a comprehensive agreement
within the established deadline, June 30.

"We firmly support the determination of the parties to keep
working on the technical parameters of the agreement; we hope
that the negotiations will be conducted, as before, in a
constructive manner and a positive atmosphere," the Bulgarian
Foreign Ministry said.
