Galina Georgieva-Marinova Appointed Regional Governor of Razgrad

Sofia, August 13 (BTA) - The government appointed Galina Georgieva-Marinova as the new Regional Governor of Razgrad, Northeastern Bulgaria, the cabinet's information service said. The decision was passed without meeting.

Georgieva-Marinova has a Master's Degree in Finance from the Sts Cyril and Methodius University of Veliko Turnovo. In the period 2009-2013 she was Deputy Regional Governor of Razgrad.

Georgieva-Marinova replaces Peter Vassilev who was seriously injured in a car accident on the night of August 5 while driving under the influence of alcohol.
