Overall Export in Bulgaria in 2014 Drops by 0.7% Compared to 2013

Sofia, September 11 (BTA) - In 2014, goods worth 43,200 million
leva were exported, down 0.7 per cent year-on-year, according to
 conclusive data of the National Statistical Institute (NSI).
The highest growth was reported in exports for December (9.7 per
 cent), while the most serious drop was witnessed in January (11
 per cent).

Imports (CIF prices) in 2014 were worth 51,100 million leva, 1.2
 per cent more compared to the previous year. The highest growth
 was reported in August (11.1 per cent), while February saw the
most serious drop in imports (5.9 per cent).

A foreign trade deficit (FOB exports - CIF imports) of 7,900
million leva was reported for 2014, 900 million leva more
compared to 2013.

In 2014, Bulgaria's exports to EU countries increased by 3.1 per
 cent compared to the previous year, reaching 26,900 million
leva, according to NSI.

Bulgaria's imports from EU countries increased 4.5 per cent
year-on-year to 31,500 million leva.

Bulgaria had a trade deficit (FOB exports - CIF imports) with
the EU countries of 4,600 million leva in 2014.

In 2014, Bulgaria's exports to third countries dropped by 6.5
per cent compared to the previous year and stood at 16,300
million leva. Bulgaria's main trading partners among third
countries were Turkey, Singapore, China and Russia. Serbia and
Macedonia accounted for a total of 53.1 per cent of the exports
to third countries.

Bulgaria's imports from third countries were 3.8 per cent down
year-on-year and amounted to 19,600 million leva. The highest
number of goods were imported from Russia, Turkey, China,
Ukraine and Serbia. Bulgaria had a trade deficit (FOB exports -
CIF imports) of 3,300 million leva with third countries in 2014.

In January-July 2015 Bulgaria's exports to third countries
increased by 8.3 per cent compared to the like period of 2014
and stood at 9,700 million leva.

In July 2015, Bulgaria's exports to third countries increased by
 7.1 per cent compared to the same month of 2014 and totalled
1,500 million leva.

Bulgaria's imports from third countries in the first seven
months of 2015 increased by 0.3 per cent year-on-year to 11,000
million leva (CIF prices). In July 2015, Bulgaria's imports from
 third countries increased by 1.4 per cent compared to July 2014
 and totalled 1,700 million leva.

In January-July, Bulgaria had a trade deficit (FOB exports - CIF
 imports) of 1,309.8 million leva with third countries.

In July 2015, Bulgaria had a trade deficit (FOB exports - CIF
imports) of 182,100 million leva with third countries.

In January-July 2015, Bulgaria exported goods worth 26,500
million leva, 9.4 per cent up year-on-year.

In July 2015, exports stood at 4,100 million leva, 2 per cent up
 compared to a year earlier.

In January-July 2015, Bulgaria imported goods worth 30,200
million leva (CIF prices), 5.3 per cent up compared to the like
period of 2014.

In July 2015, imports increased 7.9 per cent from a year earlier
 to 4,700 million leva.

In January-July 2015, Bulgaria had a foreign trade deficit (FOB
exports - CIF imports) of 3,719.1 million leva, 760.1 million
leva less than in the first seven months of 2014.

- CIF imports) of 647.8 million leva.

In January-June 2015, Bulgaria's exports to the EU increased
12.4 per cent to 14,200 million leva.

In June 2015, exports to the EU increased 12.9 per cent compared
 to the same month of 2014 and stood at 2,600 million leva.

Bulgaria's imports from the EU in the first half of this year
increased by 7.8 per cent up to 16,100 million leva at CIF
prices.

In June 2015, Bulgaria's imports from the EU countries increased
 by 6.8 per cent compared to the same month of the previous year
 and stood at 2,800 million leva at CIF prices. Bulgaria had a
trade deficit (FOB exports - CIF imports) of 1,943.6 million
leva with the EU countries.
