Exhibition Dedicated to Cyrillic Alphabet Opens in Madrid
Madrid, September 26 (BTA) - An exhibition, titled "Bulgaria's
letters, Europe's alphabet" opens at Madrid's CentroCentro on
Saturday to mark the European Day of Languages, September 26. It
is organized by the Bulgarian Embassy in Spain, EUNIC Espana
and CentroCentro.
It is a collection of 30 posters created in 2007 by 30 different
artists from 20 countries, each interpreting one Cyrillic
letter and has already been displayed in London, Moscow, Warsaw,
Krakow, Vienna, Brussels, Luxembourg, Leipzig and Geneva.
The exhibition emphasizes the particularity and universality of
the Cyrillic alphabet and reflects the diversity of the European
cultural traditions.
