Bulgaria Favours Urgent Measures against Terrorism and Radicalization
Sofia, November 20 (BTA) - The Bulgarian government supports the conclusions of the EU Justice and Home Affairs Council about the need for urgent additional counter-terrorism measures, including the adoption of a multidisciplinary approach to preventing radicalization, Bulgarian Justice Minister Hristo Ivanov told an extraordinary meeting of the EU Justice and Home Affairs Council, as quoted by his ministry on Friday.
The meeting considered urgent actions in the wake of the November 13 terrorist attacks in Paris. It recognized the need to enhance control of the EU external borders, improve air traffic safety, step up information exchange, adopt a common standard on firearms and promote cooperation in criminal justice.
