Sofia, December 11 (BTA) - The opportunities for enhancing parliamentary and economic cooperation between Bulgaria and Slovakia were discussed here Friday at a meeting of Bulgarian Parliament leader Tsetska Tsacheva and Slovak President  Andrej Kiska, said the parliamentary press office.

Kiska is on an official visit to Bulgaria until Friday on the invitation of Bulgarian counterpart Rosen Plevneliev.

Tsacheva commended the level of cooperation between the legislatures of the two countries.

President Kiska said that Bulgaria's young people have very good education and asked Tsacheva if Bulgaria still has a brain drain issue.

Tsacheva said that Bulgaria has a problem keeping its well-educated young people and makes an effort to create jobs for them.

President Kiska said that Slovakia is faced with the same problem, with 70 per cent of its youths choosing to work abroad if they have a chance.

The Slovak head of State noted that his country is not a destination for the migrants arriving in Europe nor is it a transit country. He added though that it is exactly countries as Slovakia which should show solidarity with the countries bearing the brunt of the migration wave.
