Sofia, March 7 (BTA) - At a meeting on Monday National Assembly Chairperson Tsetska Tsacheva and the Chairman of Bulgaria-Israel Friendship Group in Israeli Parliament, Eitan Broshi, discussed the bilateral parliamentary dialogue and ways to deepen the bilateral cooperation, the National Assembly said in a press release. The meeting was also attended by the Chairman of the Bulgaria-Israel Friendship Group in the Bulgarian Parliament, Yanko Yankov.

Tsacheva voiced satisfaction with the dynamics in development of the two-way relations in the past few years. She noted the recent visit to Israel of Prime Minister Boyko Borissov and voiced a hope that a joint meeting of the two countries' governments will take place in Sofia by the end of 2016.

Broshi said that the areas of mutual interest include security, farming and healthcare. These are the areas in which Israel wishes to cooperate with Bulgaria and expand two-way contacts, the guest said.

Tsacheva said that Bulgaria and Israel have very good cooperation in the area of security, noting that it should continue in the future. She stressed the extreme importance and usefulness of Israel's experience for Bulgaria which is faced with a big challenge coming from the migratory flow.

Tsacheva invited Israeli Knesset Speaker Yuli Edelstein to visit Bulgaria, voicing a hope that the visit could take place already this year.

The Israeli delegation is visiting Bulgaria until March 10. PK/ZH//
