Sofia, April 20 (BTA) - An open-air museum was unveiled in central Sofia on Wednesday on the site of the Serdica fortress remains. Prime Minister Boyko Borissov and his government toured the site ahead of the ceremony. Attending were former culture ministers, MPs, archaeologists and members of the public.

Culture Minister Vezhdi Rashidov said that now Sofia has an open air museum unlike other European capitals.

Regional Development Minister Liliyana Pavlova said that the project had been long-awaited and had gone through many difficulties. She said that the Serdica complex is among the top five cultural historical projects, funded with 53 million leva in EU funds. PK/PP
