Bulgarian Leaders Offer Condolences after Munich Shooting

Sofia, July 23 (BTA) - Bulgaria's President Rosen Plevneliev, National Assembly Chairperson Tsetska Tsacheva and Prime Minister Boyko Borissov offered condolences after Friday's shooting rampage at a shopping mall in Munich, Germany, in which at least 10 people were killed.

Writing to German President Joachim Gauck, Plevneliev expressed his profound grief and indignation at the attack. He offered his sincere condolences to the bereaved and wished that those who were injured in the incident will recover quickly.

Tsacheva sent letters of condolences to Germany's Bundesrat President Stanislaw Tillich and Bundestag President Norbert Lammert, and to Bavaria's Landtag President Barbara Stamm. Borissov wrote to German Chancellor Angela Merkel and Bavarian Minister President Horst Seehofer.

No Bulgarians were killed or injured in the Munich shooting, the Bulgarian Foreign Ministry confirmed to BTA, citing official information from the Bavarian police.
