Bulgarian Prime Minister Borissov Tenders Cabinet's Resignation

Sofia, November 14 (BTA) - Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borissov has tendered his Cabinet's resignation to the National Assembly, the Government Information Service said on Monday.

In a letter to the MPs, Borissov says that the Council of Ministers will continue to perform its functions until the election of a new government and will ensure continuity in the country's governance.

The resignation comes in the wake of Sunday's loss by ruling GERB party candidate Tsetska Tsacheva against opposition Socialist-backed Rumen Radev in the second round of voting in Bulgaria's presidential elections.
