Supreme Administrative Court Allows Recount of Referendum Ballots in 44 Voting Sections

Sofia, December 14 (BTA) - The Supreme Administrative Court on Wednesday allowed a recount of the ballots and envelopes in the November 6 referendum in 44 sections.

A three-judge panel has appointed a complex expert evaluation. The experts should study the case materials and the tally sheets of the section election commissions.

The court has obliged the Central Election Commission to provide all election papers, including the ballots and envelopes from the 44 section polling stations.

Experts will have two weeks to put forward an opinion. The Central Election Commission has seven days to present a reference about the overall number of violation alerts submitted to all sections and constituency elections commissions.
