US Ambassador to PM Borissov: You Chartered an Ambitious Course for Bulgaria and Its Cooperation with US and Other Countries

Sofia, January 20 (BTA) - US Ambassador Eric Rubin sent a message to outgoing Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borissov thanking him for the close collaboration during his tenure in Bulgaria. "At a time of numerous challenges facing this region, you chartered an ambitious course for Bulgaria and its cooperation with the United States and other countries," the US diplomat wrote. The message was made public by Borissov on Facebook.

The Ambassador thanks the Bulgarian government leader for his "strong commitment to bilateral partnership and friendship that have been key to enhancing the security, prosperity and close ties enjoyed by the Bulgarian and American people". 

Ambassador Rubin goes on to say that joint work has allowed to strengthen and deepen bilateral cooperation in several key areas: security and defence, counterterrorism, energy diversification, the rule of law, education and people-to-people ties.
