Sofia Municipality Collects Lv 262.4 Mln Revenues in January-April 2017

Sofia, May 3 (BTA) - Sofia Municipality collected 262.4 million leva revenues in the first four months of year, 1.966 million leva more than for the same period last year, according to preliminary figures on the 2017 budget implementation released by City Hall in a press release on Wednesday.

Revenues from property tax totalled 131.46 million leva, 3.73 million leva more than a year ago.

Revenues from buildings tax stood at 55.304 million leva, or 54 per cent of the annual target. Revenues from vehicle taxes exceeded 49 million leva, up 3.47 million leva compared to the like figure for 2016, accounting for nearly 62 per cent of the annual target.

The tax on onerous acquisition of immovable properties generated revenue of 27 million leva, up 105,000 leva year on year. Real estate agents report brisk business in the areas where the third line of the Sofia underground will pass.

The various types of local fees yielded a revenue of 133,374 million leva, 4.17 million leva more than in the like period a year ago.

Revenues from household waste fee exceeded 90 million leva, or 47.7 per cent from the annual target. Revenues from fees for technical services totalled 5.87 million leva, up 933,000 leva year on year. The bulk came from the granting of building permits, which brought in 3.7 million leva by the end of the period.
