Sofia, July 18 (BTA) - Dimiter Georgiev, Chairman of the State Agency for National Security (SANS), said there were no data on Bulgarians present in the Middle East conflict zone.

On Monday, Turkey published a list including 77 Bulgarians banned from entering that country. It is part of an Interior Ministry report on Ankara's fight against ISIS.

Georgiev added that the SANS had taken steps to expand the information and had asked Turkey for more details through Bulgaria's Foreign Ministry. "Information on every single case is checked," he said.

He was talking to reporters in Parliament where an ad hoc committee was to hear him out on spending on the refurbishment of the NDK convention centre ahead of Bulgaria's EU Council Presidency.

Commenting on the NDK case, Georgiev said the SANS had provided all the available information to the prosecution service.

Prosecutor General Sotir Tsatsarov, who will also be given a hearing by the ad hoc committee, said the caretaker cabinet's deputy prime minister Deniza Slateva would be summoned to testify after she returned from the United States.
