Sofia/Prague, July 18 (BTA) - Deputy Prime Minister Valeri Simeonov took part in the China Investment Forum, held in the 16+1 format in the Czech capital, and presented Bulgaria's advantages to a delegation of investors and representatives of institutions from China. The forum serves as a meeting point for Central and Eastern European countries and China, which aims to enhance and create more dynamic dialogue and develop trade and economic relations between the two regions, Simeonov's office reported on Tuesday.

He presented Bulgaria as a country that has the key factors needed for successful business growth and development of investment projects - financial and macroeconomic stability, favorable tax policy, predictable and stable rules for doing business, highly qualified specialists, as well as the lowest operating costs in Europe. The Deputy Prime Minister also stressed the quickly developing relations between Bulgaria and China. Bulgarian exports to China have increased sixfold over the past ten years, which ranks China as this country's second most important trade partner outside the EU, the press release said.

Bulgaria sees a perspective in an even more intense development of the investment process between the two countries, and expects that the Chinese investments that have already been made in the telecommunications and agriculture sectors will be broadened to include logistics, transport, machine building, outsourcing, IT, etc.
