site.btaPM Borissov Meets AmCham EU Leadership

Sofia, October 2 (BTA) - Prime Minister Boyko Borissov on Monday met with the leadership of the American Chamber of Commerce to the European Union, which is on a two-day visit here, the government information service said.

The visit is part of an AmCham practice to initiate meetings in the European countries that are to assume the EU Presidency.

During the meeting the AmCham representatives outlined the priorities of the American business in Europe and expressed readiness for cooperation, highlighting the Common European Market, international trade and Brexit.

Prime Minister Borissov underscored Bulgaria's active preparations for the EU Presidency. He put special focus on the European perspective for the Western Balkans. Outlining Bulgaria's macroeconomic parameters, the Prime Minister welcomed cooperation with AmCham which will boost investments and new jobs here.
