Sofia, December 14 (BTA) - Montenegro's Parliament President Ivan Brajovic told reporters his country hopes to open the remaining three chapters in its EU accession negotiations during Bulgaria's EU Council Presidency. He met with National Assembly Chair Tsveta Karayancheva at whose invitation Montenegrin parliamentarians are visiting Bulgaria.

Brajovic and Karayancheva discussed the Western Balkans and Montenegro EU accession.

Karayancheva assured Brajovic that as the holder of the rotating EU Presidency, Bulgaria would help Montenegro open the last three negotiating chapters. "We in turn sought, and were promised, support for Bulgaria's bid to host the headquarters of the South-East European Cooperation Process Secretariat," said the Parliament Chair.

The Montenegrin official said he was pleased to hear from Karayancheva and from the Bulgarian Prime Minister before that that the Western Balkans, including Montenegro's accession, are a priority of the Bulgarian EU Council Presidency.

He invited Karayancheva to visit Montenegro.
