Sofia, February 4 (BTA) - A regular flight service between Sofia and Odessa, the first of its kind in Bulgaria, was launched on Friday. National air carrier Bulgaria Air offers flights to and from the fifth biggest Ukrainian city on its newest Embraer E190 aircraft twice a week (Friday and Sunday), the airline said in a press release.

Odessa International Airport Director Pavlo Prusak is quoted as saying that when talking about the Sofia-Odessa-Sofia route, what should be considered are the strong trade and cultural ties between Bulgaria and Ukraine, as well as the big Ukrainian and Bulgarian communities and the similarities in the two countries' tourism, both summer and winter.

The price for a one-way ticket starts from 46 euro and for a return ticket, 92 euro.
