After casting his vote in Varna, Vazrazhdane leader Kostadin Kostadinov said he was glad to see a much higher voter turnout. He added that, for the first time, he had seen a queue of people waiting to vote.

"There really may be more voters than in the past 15-20 years, so that is a positive development," Kostadinov said.

According to him, the most important thing is for people to vote, because the greatest curse of Bulgarian democracy has been -and still is - the belief that nothing depends on people and that voting brings no meaningful change. "Only those who vote can change everything. They can change the future, change history. I hope that today, together, we will change Bulgaria's history for the better," Kostadinov said.

He added that he had voted for Bulgaria's future, for a free and independent Bulgaria. "I voted for our children, for the children of Bulgaria - in short, I voted for Vazrazhdane," said Kostadinov, who was accompanied by his daughter Denitsa.

Answering a question, Kostadinov said Vazrazhdane voters are not people who sit at a bus stop waiting for someone to pass by so they can get on. "Vazrazhdane voters want more Bulgaria, while Radev wants more Brussels. We want to bring back the Bulgarian lev, while Radev wants to introduce the digital euro," the party leader said.
