Skopje, March 12 (BTA special correspondent Antoan Nikolov) - Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borissov attended a ceremony in Skopje Monday commemorating the 75th anniversary of the deportation of Jews from the land of present-day Macedonia to Nazi concentration camps during World War II. Borissov said we should remember the inhuman things done to human beings back in those years.

He said the Bulgarian people should be proud that they rescued their Jews. He said we should learn our lessons and the politicians should never allow such things to happen again. "May they rest in peace. They are not forgotten, they are in our thoughts. That is why we are here today to pay our respects," Borissov said.

Zaev said the presence of Borissov and so many other European guests at the ceremony is a major civilizational sign. Zaev said: "Friendship and unity flourish nowadays. Hatred is not our choice. Cooperation and friendship are our mission."
