site.btaProsecutor General Tsatsarov Meets with Slovenian Counterpart Sketa

Sofia, March 13 (BTA) - Bulgarian Prosecutor General Sotir Tsatsarov and Slovenian State Prosecutor General Drago Sketa signed a memorandum of cooperation in Ljubljana on Tuesday.

The fight against terrorism and corruption topped the agenda of the meeting between the two officials.

Based on the two countries' similar legislative frameworks, they considered ways for their specialized prosecution offices to interact. The two prosecutors general also discussed ways to deal with corruption in medical treatment facilities and to investigate officers performing police functions.

Tsatsarov is in Slovenia on a two-day visit, accompanied by his deputy Asya Petrova and by Tsvetomir Yossifov, head of International Department at the Supreme Cassation Prosecution Office.
