Sofia, March 14 (BTA) - The head of the Appellate Specialized Prosecution Office, Daniela Popova, was relieved of office by a decision of the prosecutors' college of the Supreme Judicial Council (SJC) on her own request. No motives for the resignation were made public.

Popova was elected to head the Appellate Specialized Prosecution Office on October 3, 2013.

Her deputy Nikolai Naydenov was appointed acting head of this prosecution service.
