site.btaEconomy Minister Karanikolov Confers with Italian Entrepreneurs Ready to Invest in Bulgaria

Sofia, March 15 (BTA) - Economy Minister Emil Karanikolov has met with Italian companies ready to invest in Bulgaria, his Ministry said.

Bulgaria was represented by the Ambassador in Rome, Marin Raykov, Trade and Economic Counsellor Andriana Koleva, InvestBulgaria Agency CEO Stamen Yanev and experts from the Economy Ministry. The Italian participants in the meeting included entrepreneurs and companies engaged in the defence industry, energy, automotive production, medical appliances and consulting, among others.

Karanikolov acquainted the Italian business representatives with investment opportunities in Bulgaria, underscoring the low taxes and operating costs, measures promoting large projects and the efforts to reduce the administrative burden.

The Economy Minister pointed out that Bulgaria offers promotional measures competitive to those investors can find in the Central and East European countries.

The Italian entrepreneurs said they expected cooperation to expand and businesses to forge new partnerships in the nearest future.
