site.btaPM Borissov in Phone Call with Kosovo President Thaci

Sofia, April 11 (BTA) - Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borissov had a phone call with Kosovo President Hashim Thaci on Tuesday, said the government press office. Thaci assured the Bulgarian government leader that his country does not seek conflicts or armed attacks.

The phone call came shortly after a meeting between Borissov and Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic in Mostar where the two concurred about the importance of peace and European perspectives for the Balkan countries, says the government press office.  

Thaci thanked Borissov for his efforts towards the European integration of the Western Balkans and assured him of Kosovo's resolve to cooperate in this department.

He also assured Borissov that his country is committed to peaceful and fruitful dialogue for ironing out differences between Pristina and Belgrade.

He also said that Kosovo will cooperate for holding a EU summit meeting on the Western Balkans which Sofia is preparing for May 16-17 during its Presidency of the EU Council.

The two leaders discussed the options for a working meeting they will have to discuss the situation in greater detail, said the government press office.
