Sofia, June 25 (BTA) - President Rumen Radev Monday congratulated Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on his re-election at the post after the early presidential and parliamentary elections in his country, Radev's press secretariat said.

"I trust that the intensive and constrictive dialogue will continue in the interest of the peace, stability and security in Southeast Europe," Radev said. He also expressed his conviction that the relations between Bulgaria and Turkey will continue to be a model for friendship, goof neighbourliness and productive cooperation.

Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borissov phoned Erdogan to congratulate him on his election victory, the Government Information Service said on Monday.

"I am convinced that the will which the Turkish people expressed today will underlie Turkey's stable and consolidated advancement in all areas," the Bulgarian head of government said.

He expressed satisfaction with the intensified contacts between Bulgaria and Turkey in recent months and pointed out that he counts on continued bilateral cooperation.

"I am confident that we will be working together for strengthening the ties between our two countries in migration, as well as for regional peace and stability," Borissov said further.

He familiarized Erdogan with the position which he stated before the EU leaders in Brussels, to the effect that the agreement with Turkey must be retained so as to overcome the migrant crisis, and that he yet again insisted that the EU pay the remainder of the funds agreed.

The Turkish President thanked the Bulgarian Prime Minister and expressed the hope that the partnership between the two countries will be even more successful.
