Moscow, July 3 (BTA) - The Russian Ivestia newspaper has asked Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borissov what Bulgaria's expectations are about the upcoming meeting between the presidents of Russia and the United States, Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump. In a story published in the Tuesday issue of the newspaper, Borissov is quoted as saying that Bulgaria pins high hopes on the meeting. The Bulgarian Prime Minister says that the meeting may help solve the conflict in Syria and in turn settle the problem with refugees and illegal migrants in Europe.

"I truly believe that the upcoming meeting between President Putin and President Trump will help find way to solve the Syrian problem which could stop the uncontrollable refugee flow. We recently saw that negotiations can be held even with North Korea. I think that the two Presidents are powerful enough to make decisions to save the lives and fates of generations to come," Borissov says.

Borissov also says that he will be very glad if a meeting is organized within the EU to settle the relations with Russia.
