site.btaPrime Minister Borissov Confers with Chief Mufti

Sofia, October 12 (BTA) - Prime Minister Boyko Borissov met here on Friday with Chief Mufti Mustafa Hadji, the government information service said. The two acknowledged the good dialogue between the government and the representatives of the religious denominations in the country.

During the meeting the two discussed the amendments to the Religious Denominations Act which were adopted on first reading. Hadji thanked Borissov for his commitment to improving relations between the religious institutions in Bulgaria.

Borissov underscored that the good partnership between the state institutions and the representatives of the Muslim denomination in Bulgaria helps fight off radical Islam.
