site.btaSofia Authorities Bust State-of-the-art Cannabis Plantation
August 6 (BTA) - Sofia Regional Police busted a 
state-of-the-art marijuana plantation, the Interior Ministry 
said on Tuesday.
In the courtyard of the former Iskrets Labor Cooperative 
Agricultural Farms (TKZS), authorities discovered a massive 
greenhouse, equipped with air conditioning, ducts, heating 
lamps, a computer-controlled irrigation system and other 
state-of-the-art cannabis growing and drying equipment. The 
premises is owned by a 65-year-old Sofia resident and contained 
hundreds of potted cannabis plants at various stages of 
maturity, as well as a large amount of cannabis prepared for 
drying.
Three men have been detained at the crime scene, two Sofianites,
 aged 25 and 31, and a 38-year-old man from Varna. RY/DT
