site.btaPrime Minister Borissov Visits Turkmenistan

August 10 (BTA) - Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borissov
 arrived Saturday in Turkmenistan, where the delegation led by
him is on a three-day-long visit. As part of the visit, the
Prime Minister will participate in the First Caspian Economic
Forum, which will take place in the Avaza national tourist zone
near Turkmenbasy on August 12, the symbolic date of Caspian Sea
Day.

The forum will bring together the heads of state and government
leaders of Caspian countries, the leaders of countries close to
the Caspian region, and representatives of international
economic, financial, transport and ecological organizations,
among others.

Discussions will focus on the development of economic
cooperation in the Caspian region and on creating conditions for
 big projects. During the talks, the leaders will also discuss
the role of Caspian economy in a global context and the
investment attractiveness in the industries of oil and gas,
electricity, transport, trade, agriculture, tourism, and other
spheres of common interest for the participants.

In Avaza, Prime Minister Borissov will meet with Turkmen
President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow, and will also take part in
an extended meeting with the official delegations of the two
countries. The officials will sign bilateral documents, drawn up
 by the intergovernmental Bulgarian-Turkmen commission for
economic cooperation, which will also hold a session in Avaza.

The Bulgarian delegation includes Regional Development and
Public Works Minister Petya Avramova, Transport, IT and
Communications Minister Rossen Zhelyazkov, Economy Minister Emil
 Karanikolov and Energy Minister Temenouzhka Petkova. RY/TH
