site.btaRecord Number of Publishers to Participate in Book Alley Event in Sofia

September 4 (BTA) - A record number of publishers and
book distributors will participate in the seventh edition of the
 Book Alley event at Vitosha Boulevard in Sofia between
September 10 and 15, the Bulgarian Book Association said.

Over 70 of the leading Bulgarian publishing houses and book
distributors will present their new titles in a total of 23
white tents placed between the intersection of Vitosha Blvd. and
 Patriarch Evtimiy Blvd. all the way to Uzundzhovska Street.

The outdoor book fair has already passed through the cities of
Plovdiv and Varna. The official opening of the event in Sofia
will take place at the pedestrian zone of Vitosha Blvd. next to
the monument of Aleko Konstantinov with the participation of the
 Sofia Jazz Formation.

As it does every year, the Book Alley event will present a rich
cultural program that includes book launches, meetings with
authors, publishers and translators, games and workshops for
children. The event is open between 10 am and 8 pm and
participation is free of charge. RY/DT
