site.btaPM Borissov Confers with World Medical Association President Eidelman

September 5 (BTA) - Prime Minister Boyko Borissov
conferred here with the President of the World Medical
Association (WMA), Dr. Leonid Eidelman, Cabinet's press service
reported on Thursday.

"Perfecting and constantly improving the knowledge and skills of
 our physicians and medical professionals leads to an ever
higher quality and modern care for Bulgarian patients," Borissov
 said during his meeting with Eidelman and the President of the
Southeast European Medical Forum (SEEMF), Dr. Andrey Kehayov.
The meeting was also attended by Health Minister Kiril Ananiev.

Dr. Eidelman, who is also the head of Israel's Medicine
Association, is in Sofia to participate in the 10th
International Congress of SEEMF. The event is held under the
Health Ministry's auspices.

Opportunities for closer cooperation with the WMA and SEEMF were
 discussed during the meeting with the Bulgarian Prime Minister
with the goal of finding more effective health care solutions in
 the 21st century.

Borissov noted that his Government supports the need for
reforming and optimizing health care in Bulgaria, in order to
provide medical care at a high European level.

The WMA represents close to nine million physicians across the
world from more than 100 countries, Cabinet's press release
