September 12 (BTA) - A ring road
will be built round the Bozhourishte housing estate and the
industrial zone of the same name near Sofia, so as to ease
traffic, Prime Minister Boyko Borissov said on Thursday,
speaking at an opening ceremony for a big distribution facility
of the Danish JYSK company in Bozhourishte.

The project design for the road has already been done. The
future road will pass via the industrial zone and link up with
the motorway to Serbia, Borissov said, adding that the
government will make available 50 million leva for the
construction of the road.

Borissov spoke about an increase in investments in Bulgaria and
keen investor interest in the Bozhourishte Industrial Zone. The
Prime Minister said that there are several big investors who
want to set up shop in Bozhourishte but he cannot yet okay this
as the increased traffic will block "work and life in the area".

Economy Minister Emil Karanikolov, who too attended the opening
ceremony, said that the investment in the distribution facility
totalled 100 million euros.

The facility has a total area of 95,000 sq m and will serve more
than 200 JYSK stores in Bulgaria, Greece, Serbia, Romania, and
Bosnia and Herzegovina. RY/ZH
