October 6 (BTA) - On Sunday, the second day of his
working visit to the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Bulgarian Prime
 Minister Boyko Borissov conferred with His Highness Sheikh
Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and
Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, the
government's information service said. At the meeting Borissov
voiced satisfaction with the intensification of the bilateral
relations thanks to the  political trust between the two
countries and the shared wish to expand the cooperation.

"Our two countries play important roles in their regions. We
have similar views and positions on many international issues.
We are interested in developing the cooperation in the areas of
mutual interest due to the geo-political importance and
inter-connectedness of our regions," Borissov said. The
Bulgarian PM further noted that the establishment of embassies
in Sofia and in Abu Dhabi already produces positive results and
creates conditions for considerable facilitation of the
bilateral dialogue and the trade and economic cooperation.

Borissov spoke of the big potential for UAE investments in
Bulgaria in sectors such as high technologies, transport,
farming, food-making, energy, tourism. "We expect concrete steps
 in the economic cooperation and increasing the two-way
commercial exchange," Borissov said. In his words, an excellent
opportunity for continuing the good contacts and intensifying
the economic cooperation would be to hold the first session of
the mixed economic commission. Borissov also confirmed
Bulgaria's participation in the World Expo 2020 in Dubai.

The Bulgarian PM further stressed the importance of the sectoral
 cooperation in the area of interior affairs and in
counteracting terrorism and organized crime. In Borissov's
words, the two countries can exchange valuable experience in
respect of stability and security. "After our last talks in
October 2018, the political developments in the world and the
region confirm the importance of exchanging specialized
experience and information to counteract all risks and threats
coming from radical and extremist organizations and ideologies,"
 Borissov said.

The Bulgarian Prime Minister renewed his invitation to Sheikh
Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan to visit Bulgaria. RY/ZH
