Finance Ministry Expects
Revenues to Outweigh Expenditures by Lv 1,495.7 Mln
at End-February


Sofia, March 2 (BTA) - Based on preliminary data and estimates, as of February 2020, revenues are expected to outweigh expenditures under the Consolidated Fiscal Programme (CFP) by 1,495.7 million leva (1.2 per cent of the projected GDP).

The CFP revenues, grants and donations as of February 2020 are expected to stand at 7,497.4 million leva, 16.0 per cent of the annual estimates. Compared to February 2019, CFP revenues increased by 277.8 million leva, with growth registered mainly in tax revenues and in grants and donations where the grants under EU programmes and funds are mostly recorded.

The CFP expenditures (including Bulgaria's contribution to the EU budget) amounted to 6,001.7 million leva as of February 2020, which was 12.8 per cent of the annual estimates. A year earlier, the CFP expenditures totalled 5,706.2 million leva.

The part of Bulgaria's contribution to the EU budget, paid from the central-government budget, amounted to 305.1 million leva.
