Sofia, April 29 (BTA) - The confirmed COVID-19 cases in Bulgaria
are 1,437, increasing by 50 in the past 24 hours, the national
coronavirus task force said on Wednesday morning.

A total of 243 patients have recovered. The fatalities are 61,
three recent.

A total of 45,208 tests have been performed in Bulgaria as at
April 29, or 6,458 tested people in a population of one million,
taking that Bulgaria's population is seven million. The figure
is slightly up from the latest official statistics released on
April 13, according to which as at December 31, 2019, Bulgaria's
 population was 6,951,482.

Regarding pupils in the seventh grade who have to sit exams for
the next school level, and students in the 12th grade who have
to sit matriculation exams, an option is being discussed to hold
the exams but without this requiring mass return of students to
 school.

The task force is discussing many measures, including such with
a timeframe in September and October. This is something that
will be announced by the government, national coronavirus task
force chief Major General Ventsislav Moutafchiiski said.
