July 26 (BTA) - Austria, Italy and Greece are introducing new anti-pandemic measures regarding arrivals from Bulgaria.

The Italian Embassy has notified the Bulgarian Foreign Ministry that Italy is introducing a mandatory 14-day quarantine for all passengers
arriving from Bulgaria and Romania, as well as for those staying
or transiting through the two countries 14 days before their
arrival. The measure enters into force at midnight on July 25,
2020.

According to the Bulgarian Embassy in Athens, from July 28
travelers to Greece with flights from Bulgaria and Romania will
have to submit to the Greek border authorities a negative result
from a PCR coronavirus test performed up to 72 hours before
entering the country.

The Foreign Ministry stressed that only passengers who have a
certificate for a negative PCR test will be admitted to Greece.

The Greek Ministry of Foreign Affairs noted that on Tuesday and
Wednesday passengers who did not have time to be tested before
their trip will be tested by the competent Greek authorities
upon arrival.

Austria has also introduced new requirements for those arriving from Bulgaria. According to the Bulgarian Embassy in Vienna, as of Monday, July 27, all Bulgarian citizens traveling from Bulgaria to Austria, as well as European Union citizens arriving from Bulgaria, must submit a certificate for a negative PCR coronavirus test performed no longer than three days before their arrival in the country, as well as a medical certificate in German or English.

If the travelers have not been able to take a test in Bulgaria, within 48 hours of their entry into Austrian territory they are obliged to take a test in Austria at their own expense. Until submitting a negative test result, travelers are obliged to stay under home quarantine or quarantine in a suitable location.

Unimpeded transit through Austria remains in force, provided that there is no stopover and that the departure from the country is guaranteed. RI/DT
