site.btaBeach Umbrella Rents on Southern Coast Vary between Lv 0 and 8 a Day

Burgas, on the Black Sea, June 9 (BTA) - The daily rent for a
beach umbrella on the southern stretch of the Bulgarian coast
this summer will be between 0 and 8 leva, a BTA survey shows.
The same price will be charged on a sunbed in most places.
Almost all southern beaches have been prepared and are welcoming
 the season's first holiday-makers. Beach-goers are still too
few.

Beaches are free of charge at Burgas North, Burgas Central,
Obzor Motel, Primorsko Central and the Nestinarka Camping Site.
These are all beaches operated by concessionaires. There are
also leased beaches where you do not have to pay for an umbrella
 and a sunbed: Aheloi, Atanasovska Kosa, Tsarevo Central and the
 beach at the Veleka River mouth.

At Nesebar South a beach umbrella and a sunbed can be rented for
 8 leva per day each; the price at Sunny Beach North is 4.50
leva in both cases, and at Sunny Beach Central it is 5 leva. At
Sozopol Central, visitors are charged 7 leva on an umbrella and
as much on a sunbed. At Ravda the price is 8 leva each, at
Pomorie it is 5 leva each, and at Kraimorie also 5 leva each,
with sunbed covers and beach tables available at no additional
cost.

At 15 beaches which are leased rather than operated under
concession, the daily rent for a beach umbrella or a sunbed will
 be between 1 and 5 leva, the Tourism Ministry said. In two
locations, the leaseholders offer neither umbrellas nor sunbeds.
 The circumstances at 23 beaches are being sorted out.

Out of a total of 133 beaches along the entire Bulgarian
coastline, 13 can be used free of charge; 52 beaches offer
umbrellas and sunbeds for 1 to 5 leva each (inclusive of VAT);
and 42 beaches offer no discount on such amenities, the Tourism
Ministry said.

Hotel owners in Nesebar told BTA that in recent years there have
 been very few beach-goers in June. The numbers in the
high-season months of July and August have increased, and so
