site.btaTourism Minister Meets with German Tour Operators in Varna

Varna, on the Black Sea, June 21 (BTA) - "The top German tour
operators are visiting Bulgaria to meet partners and see for
themselves the quality of the product we offer," caretaker
Tourism Minister Stela Baltova said Monday in Varna. This visit
will have its influence both now and in the future, for the
information about the condition of the sector in Bulgaria will
directly reach 11,000 travel agent bureaus in Germany. The
presence of the press also means that it will help inform the
German public, she added.

The German market is a priority for Bulgaria and everything
possible is being done to attract potential tourists when the
conditions for tourist become easier, Baltova said, adding that
it is important that Bulgaria is already in the green zone. The
minister again called for Bulgarians and everyone else to take
care of themselves and others and get vaccinated.

The advertisement campaign about the opportunities for tourism
in Bulgaria has also been increased in the Russian market. A
webinar with Russian tour operators with the participation of
Bulgarian tourist guides is scheduled for this week.

"There are hopes that this season and this visit is quite
important, for Bulgaria is giving a sign that it is ready to
welcome tourists and the hotels are prepared," Luca Picone,
manager at a tour operator in Munich, said. It was important for
his colleagues to come out with a joint information about the
condition of the sector in Bulgaria. Picone added that
expectations are for the number of trips to the Bulgarian Black
Sea coast to reach 30-35 per cent of those in 2019. Charter
flights are already being made, but their number will increase
if demand for Bulgaria rises, he added.

Besides sun and sea, Bulgaria can offer many other things and is
very attractive for family tourism, for it has interesting
sites and cities to visit, Picone added./NV/BR
