ministers and other officials speaking at the different panels
held within it.

Energy Panel

Bulgarian caretaker Energy Minister Andrey Zhivkov said that the
considerable improvement of the infrastructure connections in
the 3SI region, including in the energy sector, is a necessary
condition for expanding the economic cooperation among the 3SI
member states. Zhivkov said that the regional joint energy
projects in the area of renewable energy sources, nuclear power
generation, natural gas, hydrogen, and other decarbonized gases,
will be an expression in practice of the cooperation of the 3SI
countries which will in turn contribute in their economic
growth and energy security.

British Minister for Exports Graham Stuart said that Britain
supports the ambitions of the 3SI to strengthen the regional
prosperity and improve the energy sustainability, and also for
high-quality digital and transport infrastructure.

Innovations Panels

European Commissioner for Innovation, Research, Culture,
Education and Youth Mariya Gabriel said that science,
innovations, and education have the potential to become the
driving force for a new growth in the region. Gabriel said that
precisely science, innovations and education, and synergy, can
become a key incentive for developing and attracting talents,
and for business and economic development.

She noted the areas where work needs to be done, that is
strengthening the local innovation ecosystems and the need to
interact and be flexible. NV/ZH
