Sofia, August 11 (BTA) - The Foreign Ministry issued a travel advisory for the city of Erbil and the surrounding area, and Northern Iraq on Monday.
 
It says that in the recent days the situation in Erbil and the areas West of it has been very volatile and complex due to the ongoing armed clashes. Things are further complicated by the wave of refugees arriving into the city from the regions affected by the hostilities of the recent weeks. 

The Bulgarian Embassy in Baghdad operates as usual and will cater to any Bulgarian citizen who needs help, says the Ministry.
