Sofia, October 18 (BTA) - The Kozloduy Nuclear Power Plant has
effected a payment to Westinghouse Energy System within a
November 8, 2013 contract on the upgrading of systems for
control and management of the special crops of units 5 and 6 of
the facility, the press centre of the Economy and Energy
Ministry said.

The special corps has to be brought in compliance in connection
with the extension of the lifespan of the two units. The
contract is of the total value of 15,995,000 US dollars. Its
phased implementation will run from 2013 to 2016.

The Ministry explains that this payments are independent from
the contract on the construction of unit 7 of Kozloduy signed
with Westinghouse Electric Company. /TK/
